Session 1: Magazine Anaylsis

I really like today’s class because we were annotating and did a deep analysis on the magazines. I enjoy looking at how the layouts are created and reading the editor’s letter and interviews. I paid very deep attention on how the articles were written so I could also achieve that level of writing since I’m interested in Journalism. I also paid attention to the editorial/catwalk photos, how they were styled and edited, since I’m also interested in fashion photography. I look into every detail of the magazine because I want to work for a fashion magazine company. I was surprised to see some pages and advertisement to be non-fashion related and also I realized how the clothes that they mentioned are so expensive. I enjoy looking into every detail and figuring out how the magazine company use their layouts. I also felt prepared because I did extra analysis for the homework, so when the teacher said we had to do more analyzing, I felt relieved that I did parts of the analysis.
